--Create a Startup Diskette

 

  • Click Start on the Taskbar

  • Click Settings and Control Panel.

  • In the Control Panel, open the Add/Remove Programs icon.

  • In the Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, select the Startup Disk tab.

  • Place a blank formatted diskette in the A: drive.

  • Click the Create Disk button.

  • After clicking Create Disk, a gauge will be displayed to monitor the files as they copy.

  • When the files are copied, click OK at the bottom of the Add/Remove Programs Properties box.

  • Make sure you place the Startup diskette in a safe location so it cannot be used by others except when needed for “booting up” the computer.
