Using Internet Explorer it is possible for you to mark web pages that are of particular interest to you so that you can get back to them without having to type in the address each time.Š

 

Steps to follow

  1. Open Internet Explorer by double clicking on the icon on your desktop.
  2. After Internet Explorer connects to the home page you can then go about setting up what is called a favorites folder.Š
  3. Click on the word File in the menu bar at the top of the window in Internet Explorer.
  4. Click on the word Open in the file menu.Š A dialog box will pop up and you will be able to type an address into this empty box.
  5. Type in the address of a page that you have found that you like.Š For instance, you might want to mark the Discovery ChannelÙs web page.Š The address is www.discovery.comŠ So you would type in www.discovery.com in that box and then hit the OK button or the enter key on your keyboard.Š
  6. Once that page has fully loaded you are ready to put it in your favorites folder.Š You need to click on the word Favorites on your menu bar.Š
  7. The menu will drop down and now you need to choose Add to Favorites.
  8. Once you have chosen add to favorites and clicked on OK the site is now marked in your favorites folder ready for you to go to it without typing in the address.Š All you have to do is pull down the favorites menu on the menu bar and then select whichever favorite site you want to visit and click on that name and it will take you to that site.Š
  9. Continue the above steps for each site you want to add to your favorites folder.
