Mississippi classroom teachers participating in the Office of
Educational Technology Exemplary Teacher program developed and
maintain this website to expand and enhance effective professional
development. This site seeks to facilitate communications among
classroom teachers by providing on-line educational resources.
It also provides a forum for the dissemination of information
and the collaboration of resources needed to sustain a teacher
mentor network.

- WebTools. This newsletter offers
our alternating weekly offerings of Hot Sites for Teachers as well
as Tips and Tricks for Windows 95/98 and MS Office users.
Check out Mississippi
History Now for lesson plans. It features articles written
by Mississippi historians and other subject experts. The Website
also presents lesson plans for Mississippi history teachers. Lesson
plans will link to MDE's Teacher Exchange page. Each month a new
article will go online and previous articles will be archived on
the site. Mississippi History Now is using the Social Studies textbook
as a guide in developing content for the site. The Mississippi Department
of Education partners with the Mississippi Historical Society as
host for the Website.
